TECHNIQUE: Roasting, Cleaning & Freezing Hatch Chiles II
(For Ages 13 & Up)
HANDS-ON. BASICS. We'll focus on perfecting a technique in this one hour, hands-on class. Central Market brings in 190 tons of Hatch chiles, which are only available in August, each year and you'll want to stock up! Let us show you how to properly roast your chiles, clean them and share with you good freezing practices so you can enjoy Hatch chiles year round! We'll have a sample of Hatch Queso for a snack.
**EACH PARTICIPANT WILL GO HOME WITH A POUND OF CLEANED CHILES.**

If you are under 18, your parent or guardian must sign a waiver for you to attend class.
Participants should dress with safety in mind. Please wear completely closed flats, not sandals. Long hair should be pulled back.
