Mockingbird Station Brings Back Award-Winning Classical Music Series

Mockingbird Station® Brings Back Award-Winning Classical Music Series

Classical Music Series to Return this Spring

Summer comes early this year as D Magazine’s Best of Big D, Summer Classical Music Series returns to Mockingbird Station®  in partnership with WRR Classical 101, Friends of WRR, Open ClassicalKERA, and University Crossing, The beloved classical music series once again brings an inspiring lineup of live performances to the Dallas community with free musical performances in open-air amphitheater outside the Angelika Film Center every Saturday during the month of May, starting at 7 p.m. Patrons are encouraged to grab friends and family and head over to Mockingbird Station® for these one-of-a-kind musical experiences.

Open Classical fills the gap present in the classical music structure for professionals, amateurs and audiences alike. They see critical structures as simple as community open mics and the ability to do regional touring to build a fanbase don’t exist in the realm of classical music. Open Classical sees these missing structures as the root cause of most of the problems facing the classical industry today.

Mockingbird Station®, WRR Classical 101, Friends of WRR, Open Classical,  KERA, and University Crossing share the same passion of wanting to bring music to patrons as they shop and dine around the shopping center this summer. Mockingbird Station® and partnering organizations have hosted many successful music series, including “Music on Mockingbird” and “Bach in the Subway,” and are thrilled to continue hosting events to help make music of all kinds accessible to Dallasites.

Kick-off your weekends this summer with one of these free live performances.

Summer Classical Music Series Dates:
